Hi Everyone,
Thank you for checking out our Weblog! – This was our first attempt at Blogging and seeing that it has been bookmarked and referenced by numerous groups as an example of a class beginning blogging I will continue to manage it in 2006.
However – My class of 2007 have a new site – http://upsroom18.edublogs.org This was necessary because filters at Education Department schools in our state block this site. Edublogs uses wordpress but is specifically designed for school users. I hope you are able to keep visiting us at our new site!

Hi everybody welcome to our blog,
Today we went to the school of the future also known as TSOTF.
When we first got there we ate some recess and then headed straight for the building. We walked in and saw an interactive whiteboard after they had finished we went upstairs to our room. We had about 20 minutes to get organised and to start our imovie presentation.
As soon as we heard the door open we grabbed our que card and ran to our positon where we would talk to the people.
Lots of us were nervous but it wasn’t that bad!
After our speech we went back to our computer and did our thing!
Shortly after lots of peoples came and asked us some easy and some hard questions.
We were able to give them most of the answers but not all of them.
Then they cleared out the room to go to another presentation .
Soon after more different people came in and we started all over AGAIN!!(we weren’t nearly as good as the second time) All the people that came were really friendly and they all had something really interesting to say or talk about. Before we knew it all the people came around and looked at our iMovies, It was a great experience.
After that we got a chance to go to one of the presentations ourselves. We could choose from Game making or Mars, Jason Project.
The time at TSOF went very quickly and we had a fantastic experience. You should go there yourself one day!

Hi there everyone yesterday we had a great experience. We went to the T.S.O.F.
(The School of the Future.)
When we got there we had recess and then we went upstairs, but we had to wait 20 more minutes because some other people were in there. After that we had half an hour to get organised, set up and our speeches ready (I think all of us were a bit nervous.) We had to do two presentions and then we went to see another presentation. We had 2 choices the first one was about blogging and gaming, and the other one was the Jason project. We chose the Jason project, it was interesting. Then we went back in the car and had our lunch at school. It was great fun.

Hi Everyone,
We have been very unlucky with our blogging this year!!! First our server blew up. Then the new server required new software which meant that all computers needed to be reimaged. Next then new images were found to be faultly which meant we had to start all over again. Then our classroom comuter broke down!!! Then we got a new one and it didn’t work properly. Now we had to wait for program software updates. This has made it very difficult and frustrating for the children. We will make attempts to start again! We won’t be able to send a blog everyday but we will try do so at least once per week. We are really keen to start to upload some photos too.
Our Musical Production is beginning to move into full gear and the Year 5s will be on stage doing movements to the songs. Children need to spend time learning the words to songs now as the production is just over 3 weeks away!!!!
Tomorrow 11 children from the class are going to The School of the Future to demonstrate how we use iMovies and iStopMotion – a Clay Animation program. They will write bloggs about their experiences.

Wow this day has gone very quickly! We had to work very quickly! We did our spelling in 20minutes – we had to rnt our words and then do them again in cursive. Then we went to the computing room to make a template for our Powerpoint presentations – our teacher said that we should be able to make 12 slides in 5 minutes…..and MOST of us did!!!!
We applied a theme to all slides in one go! there were some problems with saving our work – for some reason the people using the mini macs couldn’t save! Next we had Wally and he told us we could apply for jobs in our Technology Company – we are going to make model boats.
After recess we had Sports Day Practice – we used the foam and plastic javlins then it was time for our music lesson. Lunch time went really quickly too. All of a sudden it was time to practice our House Team Songs – Cremourne, Rugby and Wattle – even though we were at different ends of the school we could hear the other teams so we tried to make our song even louder still! We barely had any time to practice reading our Picture Books – our teacher wants us to stretch one word in each sentence to make it sound more INTERESTING! Before we knew it was time for assembly – one of the Year 6/7 classes presented their Science experiements – some plants that they were growing. They made it sound interesting and fun. 4 people in our class talked about our Business Enterprise and showed models of the boats we were making. Our teacher took a video of them on her mobile and showed us after assembly.
Just a reminder – if you are in our class don’t forget to finish your spelling, practice your x4 tables and your words and if you want to apply for a job – get your application in to Sam or Justin as soon as possible!
